Nardy's build 16 Jan 03.
I really like the new Options screen. I think it's much clearer than the old
one, and the tooltips are fab.
Just a couple of points:
Display... MWC as percentage has no tooltip.
Tutor... tooltips only work if Tutor mode is checked.
Cube... tooltips only work if Use Doubling Cube is checked.
Cube...Crawford rule not greyed out if Use Doubling Cube is unchecked.
Generally, tooltips do not show if the option is greyed out. Ideally, tooltips
should always be available. Is this something outside of GnuBg's control?
MET... displaying the MET currently selected would help. How about a selection
box like the one for selecting boards? Or a button with a list like the RNG
selection list?
Dice... No tooltip on RNG selector button.
Training: Annealing rate box isn't quite big enough on my PC. Leading zero is
cut off at left edge.
Game: I notice there is a new Set Match Length command; just what I've recently
found myself wishing for. Perhaps this would be a good place for it. Is this
not implemented yet? Set Match Length 3 selects the Woolsey MET.
(Is it possible to make the show version info from the Help...About page cut &
paste friendly? It might improve bug report info. Or at least go to the message
window if you type the command.
Come to think of it, could the message window have a command line, or be fully
interactive like the no GUI mode?)
