I'm comparing a cdrom I wrote with the image on har disk..
(I had problems on different cdrom drives).
With 2.7, when I do
cmp --verbose
it says:
cmp --verbose /dev/hdc master
cmp: /dev/hdc: Input/output error
%
Since I was also having all types of problems with the hardware,
wouldn't it be nice to output how many bytes were successfully
matched?
I also have a diffutils for 2.7.2 (2.7 is with redhat 7.1).
