    sorry, I updated the HISTORY file and forgot about NEWS, I need to drop
    HISTORY because it is a duplication of NEWS.

I do not see the HISTORY file in the distribution.

(The empty ChangeLog is not a good thing either, by the way.)

Getting --help and --version to say the right thing is more important
than any of the rest, which implies an actual update ...

    I forgot to approve it :-)

I've also forgotten many times :).  One of the worst UI's around, that
news handling junk ...
