No, this is due to the fact I have _POSIX2_VERSION=199209 to be able
to use forms like "head -5".

Also, the following code (considering a boolean as an integer value)
is at least dirty if not buggy:

  bool obsolete_option;
  obsolete_option = parse_obsolete_option (argc, argv, &n_units);
  argc -= obsolete_option;
  argv += obsolete_option;
