Is there a reliable way of reproducing the bug?  The originally stated
recipe does not work here with
Emacs  : GNU Emacs 22.0.90.1 (i686-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.8.20)
 of 2006-11-11 on neutrino
Package: 11.83

Could it depend on the toolkit?
