Follow-up Comment #2, sr #106765 (project bibledit):
Do you foresee the embedded web browser changing again in the next 1-2
years?
If not, then please consider making the browser pluggable. If for no other
reason, there is a lite version of GtkHtml that uses less memory and has fewer
dependencies. Low-end machines may find this helpful.
On the bright side, there were a lot of bugs in the GtkHtml/HtmlCache/Curl
setup on Windows that resulted in crashes. Resources were completely unusable
due to heap corruption issues that were on my short-list to trace out with
checked malloc() and file bugs.
There are some features in HEAD we really need and in the meantime, it means
I get to buckle down and make libwebkit safe for MinGW.
