[avrdude-dev] Feature request: Don't display hashmarks if TERM is dumb

The hashmarks while downloading only work on intelligent terminals. If
TERM is set to dumb, it would be good if they could be suppressed
automatically by avrdude. (Yes, I know the -q option.)

What do you think about this idea?
