None yet.  There have been rumours of a successor that will be
equipped with USB (only?), much like the JTAG ICE mkII or the AVRISP
mkII.  Maybe even the same USB chip, but who knows?  Now that the
AT90USBxxx devices are around, perhaps they design it to use as many
Atmel chips as possible?  After all, they need some kind of master
controller anyway, and as the USB firmware is a few KiB only, it could
certainly fit into a single controller chip, rather than having a
separate USB i/f chip.

There's also the STK1000, but that's AVR32 only, so it's not a
replacement.

The STK500 suffers from some extended `lead time' as they call that
today.  (Reminds me the old GDR days when people had to wait for years
to get a new car...)  Someone (on avrfreaks?) suspected it might be
the RoHS stuff that could perhaps have caused some kind of production
delay.
