ac_configure_args="$ac_configure_args foo=$ac_pwd" AC_CONFIG_SUBDIRS(stuff) none of the build dir variants appeared to be set at the time. it looks like adding things ac_configure_args is fairly common but neither of these are documented... so wondering if this tinkering could break in the future?
