Nice indeed.

But too bad pressing repeatedly $ while the region is active, it doesn't
toggle between ‘$|$‘ and ‘\[|\]‘ (hitting the backslash key on a French
keyboard is a nightmare): I'll probably open an issue on this subject on
the github repository of `smartparens'.
