>It's not OGG, it's not an acronym. It's not even Ogg, because what
audio players work with is Vorbis. You won't see them playing Ogg
FLAC, Ogg Speex, Ogg Ghost, and OggPCM. Yep, lots of audio formats
use Ogg. Ogg is just a bloody container.

>Gee, ranting again. Sorry.

It's hard to be peaceful when it's so blatantly wrong, but more flies
with honey and all that.

>We have a large page maintained by the community with every known
software[1] and hardware[2] player of Vorbis. FLAC has a small
database, too. We don't have a database of products that deal with
Speex and Theora, yet. Maybe someone would like to create and
maintain such list--would be most helpful that.

Those pages say Ogg Vorbis[0], which means it's definitely confusing.
If I get some free time over my vacation[1] I'll help you change the
phrasing if it's supposed to only say Vorbis.

There should be some clear statement, somewhere of how the terms are
used. It's not uncommon (e.g., Adobe has an entire page as to why you
shouldn't say "photoshopped").

[0]At least they don't say OGG Vorbis.
[1]I'll probably have to run it by SWMBO, she likes to have plans for every day
