Hi Joop,

Sorry to cause confusion.  I found out that I was doing it wrong.  xlog doesn't crash if you open a new log first... I used it to great effect this weekend, making several contacts.  You're correct about kpsk being a dead project, although I very much hope to bring it back to life.

As far as xlog, I'll be happy to submit a patch that will handle this situation gracefully (ie, pop up an error about not having a log open, or some such.)  I'll get back to you once I've got it coded.

Thanks so much for this wonderful little piece of software!

Regards,
Joshua Wood

Hi Joshua,

I have downloaded kpsk-1.2rc2, but it won't compile on my system. I have
checked the kpsk mailing lists to see if there is any activity, but they
only seem to contain spam.

I would like to suggest that you use gmfsk (works fine with xlog) or any
of the other digital modem programs. Since my development time is
limited I am ruluctant in supporting dead projects like kpsk.

Also, backtraces don't help me much without line numbers. After
compilation, start xlog from the xlog source tree when using gdb. 'gdb
src/xlog'. It would be nice to seen that the content of the message
buffer is in addtolog_or_qsoframe()... After the crash type: 'p entry'.
