My little GUI reads utf8-strings from terminal and writes back to
it. That also does well. That's something+ :-). It is that ibus has the
same input method as provided by 'Multi_key'. You find it at
"Other - latn-pre (m17n)".
However, having to hit [ctl]+[space] ["] [a] [ctl]+[space] is a bit
disturbing at texting. Hitting [super-l] ["] [a] as needed using
'Multi_key' is easier to type. XTerm has the ability to assign รค to
[alt]+[a] that's the very best solution. The whole matter is very
tricky. XTerm is configured via /etc/X11/app-defaults/XTerm,
'Multi_key' via xmodmap configured in .xmodmaprc.
