I've been trying to reproduce that on my machine but without
any luck yet.

Do you mean with "OK" the <Enter> key or the "Accept" button?
I just noticed that clicking the "Accept" button doesn't set
the value, but <Enter> (as <Tab>) does. I have to figure out
why clicking on "Accept" behaves differently...

This I can't reproduce.

Well, in principle it shouldn't matter what system your using,
it should, of course, work everywhere;-) Just a uestion: do
you have some fdesign package installed on that machine?
These normally go into somewhere under '/usr' while the
new version, compiled from scratch, goes to '/usr/local'.
Having both can sometimes lead to rather srrange results
since one can't be sure what gets used. Perhaps some of
the problems you encountered could be due to something
like this?
