We should learn from this, and provide comments for the translators
about what is meant by "Match" when it is used in a translation unit
without clarifying context.

This should also be done for others texts, most notably for the single
letters "R", "G", "B", "D", and probably also for other texts.

I added comments for those letters that are now copied to the pot file.
If you know of any other place where they would be helpful, let me know
and I'll add them.

There is a string with PV (backend.c:8642) which may need an explanation.

Another thing is plural handling. Whenever you have a string with a variable number of something, it should be translated by calling ngettext like this:

  ngettext("%s (%d reversible ply)", "%s (%d reversible plies)", count)

It does not matter here that count never is 1. The plural handling is necessary anyway because some languages have several plural forms, typically depending on the last 1 or 2 digits in the number.

I have pushed a patch to Savannah master with the ply/plies-texts, but not to the 4.6-branch.
