You may know that hdf5 1.6.0 was released in July, but it caused some really bad trouble, so I was held up releasing a swarm snap for a while. Then they fixed and released version 1.7.0, which I gather is a transitional package, but it fixes the problems I saw in 1.6.0. So, if you want the rpm for Swarm 2.1.147, you gotta also get hdf5-1.7.0.

The only hdf5-1.7.0 that exists is a development snapshot. As a general remark (not just relating to its interaction with Swarm), this and 1.6.0 and the 1.6.0 post release variants still have enough bugs that if you are doing real work with HDF5, I'd stick with 1.4.5-post2.

OK!

Everybody Look here:

see:

hdf5-1.4.5post2-1RH90.i386.rpm

swarm-2.1.147.20030812-2RH9.0.i386.rpm
swarm-gcjswarm-2.1.147.20030812-2RH9.0.i386.rpm
swarm-jdk-2.1.147.20030812-2RH9.0.i386.rpm
swarm-static-2.1.147.20030812-2RH9.0.i386.rpm

Amazing how much smaller swarm-static is with the --enable-onelib turned on. It drops from 1.1M to 23k. Do you think that is a mistake somehow, or real?

Thanks for the Windows pre-release, by the way. I appreciate it very much.
