Swarm Test programs: Compile command followup |

I'm working on these little test programs in Swarm and I find I have to
make a couple of changes compared to what Marcus uses. I have to insert
-D_GNU_SOURCE and also -I$SWARMHOME/include/swarm and
-L$SWARMHOME/lib/swarm. The following works at the bottom of the file,
in Emacs it uses this compile command:
Local Variables:
compile-command: "$SWARMHOME/bin/libtool-swarm --mode=link gcc
-D_GNU_SOURCE -o integermap -g -Wno-import -I$SWARMHOME/include
-I$SWARMHOME/include/swarm -L$SWARMHOME/lib -L$SWARMHOME/lib/swarm
MapIntegerIndex.m -lswarm -lobjc "
End:
*/
Is there something wrong with my install of swarm 2.0 that requires me
to insert the include/swarm and lib/swarm paths?
Followup emacs question: If I change the compile-command, how do I get
Emacs to recognize it without closing the file and opening it up again?
