Looks like I missed your quick reply, sorry.
Here is what I get with ssh cvs.savannah.gnu.org:
Linux vcs-noshell 2.6.26-2-xen-686 #1 SMP Thu Nov 25 02:32:31 UTC 2010 i686
Interactive shell login is not possible for security reasons.
VCS commands are allowed.
You tried to execute:
Sorry, you are not allowed to execute that command.
Connection to cvs.savannah.gnu.org closed.
