Details:
If a backslash is used in a comment for a bug item,
the email that is sent out when the update happens has
the backslash removed. For example see the following
comment:
https://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?18112#comment5
Relevant snippet from comment:
((?:cid:)?|(?:(?:http://(?:www\.)?)?mail-archive\.com/)?)($mhonarc::AddrExp)
However, the email sent out removed the backslashes.
Relevant snippet from email notification:
((?:cid:)?|(?:(?:http://(?:www.)?)?mail-archive.com/)?)($mhonarc::AddrExp)
All the backslash characters are missing.
For comments that can contain code snippets (or windows
pathnames), this is a problem if one does not know to
go to the web site directly to see the unmodified text.
Seems if the backslashes are getting rendered correctly
on the web site, they should be rendered in any email
that goes out.
