Follow-up Comment #10, sr #105528 (project administration):

I doubt it, because I don't think there's a magic solution to this issue, and
because MUAs usually do not auto-detect encoding (Thunderbird does not, at
least).
What makes you think svnmailer and other less-sucking VCSs handle encoding
correctly? I should have a look.
