Hi,
Here's auto.txt included in auto.zip for rule testers only. Especially
Devon!

Auto partitioning with slinky
auto.sh and fdisk.scr are used to demonstrate auto partitioning using
slinky. This is not a release of any software and you shouldn't use it.
It will wipe out your primary hard drive and put linux on it.
Rule testers who wish to experiment on a test machine can follow
this procedure.
-----
The auto install is designed for a machine where the entire primary
hard drive will be used by the install. Any partitions already on the
drive will be deleted. I have not tested it on drives that had extended
DOS partitions. In fact I only tested it on one 540 meg seagate with
previous rule installs on it.
The purpose of auto is to make installation as simple as possible for
a non computer person. This example script avoids all questions
about partitions, partitioning tools, hda, hdb, /, /boot, swap, etc.
entirely.
There are still other questions which can be eliminated. We can
default to lilo on an auto install. I can even imagine an installer where
you say yes and then it tells your to put in disk 2 and then it tells you
you need the redhat cd 1. Finally you hit enter to reboot. Or an
installer CD where you say yes and then it tells you to hit enter to
reboot.
Here's how to make it work using slinky v0.1.8 disks and files found in
auto.zip at
http://tvsoup.com/cobweb/upload/auto.zip
-----
Put auto.sh in the / directory of disk 2.
Put fdisk.scr in the /second_stage_scripts directory of disk 2.
Start the install by booting to disk 1.
At the first busybox prompt do this:
cd /scripts
change to disk 2
mount /mnt/fd0 /mnt/floppy
cp /mnt/floppy/auto.sh .
Leave the floppy mounted and then type:
./auto.sh
If you really want to proceed and install linux on your hard drive type
yes.
Hit enter to choose CD or try hard drive, ftp, or http install. I only
did CD.
When it asks you to put in disk 2 just hit enter. It will give you and
error in this example script because disk 2 is still mounted.
You are now formatted and in the installer. It pretty much takes it
from there. I hit enter for everything except I accepted all packages.
-----
For some reason kudzu didn't auto start when I reset the system. I
ran it from the command line and configured the network. I used links
to access google.com. I installed Midnight Commander from CD.
Everything seems to be ok.
Please let me know if you try this.
Thanks,
Hairy Larry
