Unfortunately, I do not have information about videocards not
supporting this. But I think it should be possible for the user to
select between hardware and software scrolling somehow.

It is in the FreeVGA documentation that it wraps so I assume it works.

Using google groups I found one person who had a problem with this:

http://groups.google.nl/groups?hl=nl&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&threadm=3o38bf%2447f%40newsy.ifm.liu.se&rnum=5&prev=/groups%3Fq%3DVGA%2Bscroll%2Bwrap%26hl%3Dnl%26lr%3D%26ie%3DUTF-8%26oe%3DUTF-8%26selm%3D3o38bf%252447f%2540newsy.ifm.liu.se%26rnum%3D5

If this is true I still think it is nice to have a optional hardware
scroller. On the PUPA console, after you reach line 25 you have to
use software scrolling for every displayed line. This makes it really
frustrating to use the console.

What do you think?

Thanks,
Marco
