Using psppire.exe 0.8.4-g3a8f33 on Windows 7 (which is a special
debugging version that opens a window showing errors),

Just to avoid confusion. 0.8.4-g3a8f33 is the source version.
The package with the same version number is available as
- 32 bit debug version

- 32 bit "production" version

- 64 bit "production" version

for MSWindows.

But nice to see that people already using this special version.

BTW in the GTK3 build I am working at, the debug version will have debug information included so user can debug the code with GDB. This could give a lot more info to the developers

I have no idea if users want this and are able to use it. Comments on this?
