Here is what the log says about GTK+:

    configure:17852: checking for GTK
    configure:17860: $PKG_CONFIG --exists --print-errors "gtk+-2.0 >=
$required_gtk_version"
    Package gtk+-2.0 was not found in the pkg-config search path.
    Perhaps you should add the directory containing `gtk+-2.0.pc'
    to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
    No package 'gtk+-2.0' found

Is there a gtk+-2.0 file in the pkg-config search path? (On my
system, at least, that is /usr/lib/pkgconfig.)
