I think the main problem is the use of QT3. . . . It really NEEDS to be Qt2!
Try export QTDIR=/usr/lib/qt2
And it should compile fine, and also work correctly.
I got this same error when I was first compiling, and it was fixed by export
the QTDIR for QT2. . .
