Exporting to oocalc works really well for customizable lists.

Search the addressbook like normal and then hit export.  It exports your
current selection set and uses the fields that you have displaying (set in
your phpgw preferences)

When exporting persons, it can also export the preferred company info for that
person.

We use it all the time
