[Phpgroupware-developers] developing feature for calendar application

Another question... I need to add a feature to the calendar application to do
the following:

Upon posting a task for a selected group to view, send an email / messenger
message to all members in the group.

Q. is this something that I should concern myself about adding to the active
calendar development (ie: patches and such)
