I am not, in general overly thin skinned (At least, I hope I'm not.) but 
this just happens to be one of my buttons; one of those things that will 
set me off every time.  And, as I've posted before, I've had decades to 
learn that the only way to keep people from doing it again is a zero 
tolerance policy.

It's bad enough when people hear my name and get it wrong.  SEEING IT IN 
PRINT and still not managing to get it right always looks to me as 
though they can't be arsed to get it right, and I find that offensive. 
I have no idea why people hear your name as Peter.  Imagine how 
irritating it would be if I saw your name written as Steven and *still* 
called you Peter, and you'll see why I react the way I do.
