Can anyone confirm these?

Bug A.

With View->Layout set to Tabbed Layout
and assuming you haven't subscribed to
gmane.comp.video.transcode.user:

1. Click on Header Pane.
2. Type "transcode" into the group selection box.
3. Click on the Group Pane.
You see two groups,
4. Click on gmane.comp.video.transcode.user.
You go to the Header Pane, and the headers menu box pops up,
5. Click on Get all headers.
You see the progress indicator at the bottom showing
parts and articles, as usual, as they are loaded.
But THEN, you are taken back to the group pane, and it
is as though steps 1.-5. had never happened. There is no
pattern in the group selection box and there are no
headers in the group gmane.comp.video.transcode.user.
(Furthermore, I think, some information about what headers
have been read is lost, for other groups.)

If you go back and try again, but this time at step 5
choose to get only the last 6 days' headers, instead of
all headers, everything works okay.

Bug B.

With View->Layout set to Tabbed Layout
and assuming you haven't subscribed to
alt.binaries.wallpaper:

1. Click on Header Pane.
2. Type "wallpaper" into the group selection box.
3. Click on the Group Pane.
You see several groups,
4. Click on alt.binaries.wallpaper.
You go to the Header Pane, and the headers menu box pops up,
5. Choose to get the last 6 days' headers.
The headers are successfully loaded.
6. Click on the group selection box and backspace over
the "wallpaper" pattern you typed there earlier, to
   erase the pattern.
7. Click on the Groups menu at the top of the screen.
In the Groups menu that pops up, most options are greyed
out, including the option to subscribe to the selected
groups. So you can't subscribe to this group. (This
is the bug.) However, you can:
8. Put the "wallpaper" pattern back in the group selection
   box.
9. Click on the Group Pane.
You see alt.binaries.wallpaper listed among the Unsubscribed
Groups.
9. Click on it.
You are taken back to the Headers Pane, and the headers you loaded
previously are listed.
10. Click on the Groups menu at the top of the screen.
Now you see the options normally available not greyed out,
and you can choose the option to subscribe to this group.
