Try upgrading to 0.11.2 or 0.11.3.
0.11.3 is so new it may not be in RPM, but when I installed it from
tarball <ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/gettext/> it cleared up a lot of the /po/
headaches I'd been having.
