Follow-up Comment #37, patch #8943 (project octave):
I've tested, and the patch you posted fixes the FLTK plotting crash, thanks.
I also tried converting the "renderer" to a pointer and then calling "new"
within the OpenGL_fltk constructor. That did NOT work. Not quite sure what
the issue is other than OpenGL initialization for FLTK is tricky.
