No. Let me install it and give that a try...
Still doesn't work, but the process moved a little further so that the
problem became obvious with a very descriptive error message. My DNS
service doesn't appear to work properly from the command line, so I
defined the IP address of git.sv.gnu.org inside my /etc/hosts file.
Then everything works:

2576 files updated, 0 files merged, 0 files removed, 0 files unresolved
