Follow-up Comment #17, bug #53046 (project octave): "Say the matrix is 10x10, but only five columns is displayed at once" I should add that in the patch you'll probably notice that clicking the "undock" icon the first time will expand the "is-floated" window to near maximum screen size. That's my way of try to provide a magnify or maximize mode of sorts--just in case one wants to quickly expand a matrix window.
