Details:
Dear All,
When I use a function (i.e. "step", of "control package") in the last Octave
4.0.3 release, if I'm using a "wall projector" with my windows 7 notebook that
has smaller resolution screen (800x600) than the computer itself (1600x1200)
the plot figure of step response doesn't open in the middle of the screen like
Matlab does.
The result is a "corrupt figure window" that opens up to the right corner of
the screen and can't be dragged down by mouse and if I disconnect the
projector from the notebook to release back the full resolution I see the
"plot figure" is corrupted by graphics ... even if I use any other command
(step i.e.) in the same opened figure after I drag the figure to the center,
using mouse i.e.. To correct it, I should close the figure and open again it,
or open a new one (i.e. figure(2)) in to the screen with the projector
disconnect.
I think it's a bug from Octave (and/or MS Windows) that perhaps take
information from windows of native screen resolution of the system but don't
take care of the projector resize of the screen resolution.
If Octave guys could at least mimic the way Matlab does, as they opens it in
the center of the screen, the bug could be solved, or attenuate, I think.
Thank you guys for the great work of Octave!
Silvio
