Follow-up Comment #113, bug #41699 (project octave): Comment #112 is confirmed. There is definitely something odd going on with the QT_PLUGIN_PATH. Does anyone remember why we have this environment variable? The log in MXE repo says changeset: 3909:586b26b09042 user: John W. Eaton <address@hidden> date: Fri Apr 17 14:53:00 2015 -0400 files: installer-files/octave.vbs description: set QT_PLUGIN_PATH in octave.vbs Tests: 1) Comment out QT_PLUGIN_PATH in octave.vbs. WORKS 2) As above, use setenv (QT_PLUGIN_PATH) from within Octave. WORKS 3) Restore QT_PLUGIN_PATH in octave.vbs. Remove imageformats/ directory from the QT_PLUGIN_PATH dir. WORKS 4) Restore imageformats/ directory. Remove only qtiff4.dll.
