Follow-up Comment #44, bug #38564 (project octave):

I should add that I am getting a bit worried about
Fedora's handling of some packages, like:

llvm in FC18 and 19 is shown as RCx, but it is
required by other packages which are fully released
and required.  So, you cannot revert to a released
llvm (assuming that RC3 means NOT released).

Also, the released texlive is unworkable, but 
other packages depend on it.  They seem not to
know that the official source of TeX is CTAN.

Nothing is perfect...
