My chrome version is very old:
gad/tmp google-chrome -version
Google Chrome 27.0.1453.110
Google Chrome stopped supporting RedHat Enterprise Linux. I suppose some kind
of quarrel between RedHat and Google. Google seems to be fighting with
everybody these days.
I could try to install a google-chrome package from Fedora. But that is kind
of chancy, and Google Chrome 27.0.1453.110 is working well enough for me. A
spurious  or two is a pretty minor annoyance.
