Thanks to all! For the static builds.

I don't have a valid monotone build env right now so i have to rely on other good guys on the net.

Got it to work on Shrike and the latest coLinux builds (0.6.3 snapshots) with gentoo images.

was a mistaken with filenames.  Sorry.
monotone-0.23-x86 works also on my system (SuSE 9.0).

hn> ldd monotone-0.23-x86
         libm.so.6 => /lib/i686/libm.so.6 (0x40026000)
         libc.so.6 => /lib/i686/libc.so.6 (0x40049000)
         /lib/ld-linux.so.2 => /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x40000000)

Only the monotone-0.23-linux-x86.bz2 from homepage need a newer
libstdc++, and can't run.

A downloading for 'monotone-stripped.bz2' directly from homepage would
be nice for some other users.  This runs under FC3, SuSE 7.1, Red Hat
Linux release 9 (Shrike), and mutch more

Thanks again for your quick help!
