monotone and keysafe certainly need to be rebuilt against the new
version of botan, since the SONAME has changed. However, the libbotan1.8
binary package name should have been renamed in the process of bumping
the SONAME (Bug#527461), and I won't be scheduling Bin-NMUs of either
package until that has happened.

The reason for not scheduling the Bin-NMUs is that they would be freely
migrating to testing, which still has Botan 1.8.1, and then the bug
would happen there in addition to unstable (not only botan 1.8.2 didn't
rename the binary package, it also has a bogus shlibs file!).

However, I realize having this situation in unstable is inconvenient, so
you may make sourceful uploads of monotone and keyfile in order to get
them rebuilt. The point is that, independently of you taking up on this
offer or not, I'll block migration of these pacakges to testing until
the issue is fixed in botan, just in case; so you may as well upload.
(New source versions can easily be blocked from migration, Bin-NMUs
can't be.)

Cheers,
