Although I implemented "./", I now think it's not a good key
in these two reasons:
(1) It is better to keep "/" for the future extention for
the prefix for misc symbols as I wrote before.
(2) The sequence "./" is not associated with the action
"commit the current preedit area as is and shift to
the initial state."
(3) It is better to avoid overloading too many meanings for "."
How often is it used?
Rarely.
How about "Shift-Return"?
Shift+Return would have been good, but it is used in many popular websites and programs to enter a new line in a text box or a cell. How about Ctrl Shift Return?
> ‌ .//
Now "Shift-SPACE" is mapped to ‌ (and "Control-@" is to
‍). Do we need another key? And, isnt't it better to
avoid using "." and "/" for the same reason?
I was not aware of that - shift-space is intuitive and much better - we don't need another key.
Do you think it is natual to type the key "." (which is
associated with NUKTA) before the base consonant? Isn't it
better to find some other postfix key? For instance, now
"]" is mapped to NUKTA. How about mapping "k]" to "क़्"?
.k is intuitive (. looks like nutka), whereas square brackets may be used like () as in English. So, .* seems preferable.
