Oops.  This might be a consequence of a patch I submitted that
was integrated at this release.  But I thought the damage didn't
affect Slang.

It might be helped by a corrective patch at:

   Linkname: Re: lynx-dev lynx2.8.4dev.8                                        

Please let me know what happens if you try it.
