When I compile it with the original (single-Lyric) snippet, it works as expected.

With my modified (multiple-Lyric) snippet, no lines appear at all, anywhere:

Hmm... that's odd.  Could it be a question of version?  I'm running 2.17.25 (don't have 2.16 installed at the moment), and here's what I get (I added a verse to your example):
