Well, there are changes in many tests, but the actual difference in
thickness is too small to be seen in low-resolution regtest images.
Surprisingly, however, there are some changes in beam positions - some
beams are slightly better, some slightly worse.  See here:

If you'd like to see how this new thickness looks like, add
\context { \Voice \override  Beam #'beam-thickness = #0.51 }
to your \layout block.
