This sounds very sensible to me. Now, to forstall any complaints
that new features shouldn't be demonstrated in input/regression/,
could you copy that regtest into Documentation/snippets/new/ ?
With a warning that the new \cresc won't be integrated until 3.0,
redefine at your own risk, etc.
