Thanks Sergei!

Either there is a problem with my ImageMagick from MacPorts or we are using 
different versions of ImageMagick?

My verision is ...

$ convert --version
Version: ImageMagick 6.7.7-2 2012-07-01 Q16 http://www.imagemagick.org
Copyright: Copyright (C) 1999-2012 ImageMagick Studio LLC
Features: OpenMP OpenCL
