Hi,
I'm currently looking your beautiful work of vtk octave integration through
the octaviz toolkit.
Do you think that it could be possible to support texture mapping onto
surfaces (like sphere) in futur octaviz developments ?
This feature is very useful for instance when you want to display spherical
data of arbitrary size on a fixed polygon approximating the sphere (for
instance, a polygon of 40 faces).
Usually, this procedure is quicker than the use of surf() or mesh() methods
where the number of faces for the polygon equals the size of the data, since
each data cell correspond roughly to one face (up to the triangularization).
Best regards,
Laurent
