I appreciate that the octave writers have not added such a
"feature".
I run octave under Windows98. For an editor someone
recommended Sc1.exe which I'm very happy with - even for
other applications. After linking the utility to all
programs ending in .m, it works great.
It is a simple editor around 270KB and does not insinuate
itself into your system - it simply runs.
