Hi,

it's normally difficult to guess, so I often get this wrong, anyway ...

if you change libxml you might need to reconfigure gnustep-base ...  
perhaps trying 'make distclean' in all core libraries, then building them
again, might work.  I think you might need to build again all applications
too (which involves, first cleaning them by doing 'make distclean', then
building them again with 'make').
