As I've already said, it's clearly better now.
One thing I still miss is backward links from engravers
to contexts. Once you've found a property, you have to
know in which context to set it.

Couldn't even Lilypond detect that a property is set
on a context that's too low in the hierarchy for the 
property to be active? In principle, Lilypond should
warn about all properties that are unused. Nowadays,
you get a warning if the property name doesn't exist
but you could still misuse an existing property name
without getting any warning. It's not always that easy
to notice in the printed output if all property settings 
worked as you expected, especially not if it's an old
.ly file that you updated with convert-ly and processed
with a new Lilypond version.
