And the Hurd has been in development since 1990, so started at roughly the same time as the Linux kernel. Misleading information again. Hurd and Linux started out as competitors.

I'm not sure what line you are talking about, but the GNU Project
started in 1983, the FSF started in 1985, while Linux began in 1991.
